Dead ICO thread.
Second life on Solana.
In 2018, a project called Smart Refinery Technologies appeared on BitcoinTalk with a bold idea: tokenize the oil refining industry. The thread went quiet. The token never launched. Now we're taking that dead concept and rebuilding it as a sharper, Solana-native brand.
What was SRT?
Smart Refinery Technologies (SRT) was posted on BitcoinTalk in June 2018 as an ICO proposal to tokenize oil refinery operations. The idea was ambitious: connect blockchain with the physical oil industry, give token holders dividends from refinery profits, and create a decentralized energy marketplace.
The project described a full ecosystem — from crude oil procurement through refining to distribution — all tracked and governed on-chain. They planned to build an actual refinery and distribute revenue to SRT token holders proportionally.
The thread got some engagement but eventually went silent. No token was ever launched. The concept stayed buried in the BitcoinTalk archives until now.
Smart Refinery Technologies (SRT) — we are building an ecosystem that connects blockchain technology with the oil refining industry...
The SRT token represents a stake in a real refinery operation. Token holders will receive dividends from refinery profits...
Interesting concept. How do you plan to handle regulatory compliance for tokenized equity?

Built from a dead thread.
Rebuilt for a new era.
SRT Reborn takes a 2018 BitcoinTalk oil-industry ICO concept — one that never launched — and relaunches it on Solana with a sharper identity, a brutalist design language, and a community-first approach. No fake promises. No whitepaper theatre. Just a strong brand and fair launch.
Old lore, new form
The original SRT concept proposed tokenizing oil refinery ownership on Ethereum. It aimed to give holders a share of refinery revenue — an ambitious but ultimately abandoned idea. We take the same narrative DNA and rebuild it as a community-driven Solana launch with no false equity promises.
Design-led identity
Most meme and utility tokens ship with generic templates. SRT Reborn is different: the brand, site and visual system are the product. A brutalist, black-and-gold identity that stands out in a timeline full of noise. The page itself is the pitch.
Community-first governance
No pre-sale, no team allocation, no insider deals. The token launches fair on pump.fun and the community decides what gets built next. Holders shape the roadmap through transparent governance. The project grows only as fast as the people behind it.
Real utility path
Beyond the lore and brand, SRT Reborn has a clear utility trajectory: holder-gated dashboards, oil market data feeds, community treasury, and governance voting. Each feature gets built only when the community signals demand. No bloated roadmap, no empty promises.
Three phases.
Community-driven execution.
SRT Reborn follows a simple three-step model: fair launch, build the brand, then hand the steering wheel to the community. Each phase only moves forward when the previous one proves traction.
Fair launch
The $SRT token goes live on pump.fun — a Solana-native fair launch platform. No pre-sale, no team tokens, no VC allocation. Everyone enters at the same price. The bonding curve determines early pricing, and liquidity is automatically added to Raydium once the curve completes.
Brand & narrative
The website, social channels, and visual identity carry the SRT Reborn narrative forward. The brutalist design language — square forms, gold accents, monospace type — is the brand. Content focuses on the BitcoinTalk origin story, the Solana relaunch, and the community vision.
Community governance
Once launched, token holders decide what gets built. Feature proposals, treasury allocation, and partnership decisions all go through community governance. The project grows only in directions the holders signal. No founder-led roadmap — just holder-driven expansion.
